Galvanised Barbed Wire

The oldest wire fence, and the most used till date, the good old barbed wire has undergone quite a few face-lifts in recent times.

To name a few:
• The razor blade barbed wire
• The colour coated barbed wire
• The reverse twist barbed wire
• The polymer coated barbed wire

As a general rule, when buying any barbed wire, one needs to make sure of the wire quality in tensile strength and higher galvanised coating rather than weight, as wire longevity depends on the gsm coating not on how heavy the wire is.

Also make sure it is hot dip galvanised. As cold dip galvanised wires start rusting in as soon as a fortnight. Your fence will most probably start showing shades of red and brown almost before you are done with installation!

And again, the effectiveness & durability of the fence depends on the tensile strength of the wire, not on its weight.
